A skin or fur problem is typically very easy to detect through visual inspection so if you notice something abnormal then contact our vet immediately. After a thorough examination, we may need to do additional tests such as skin scrapes, fungal or bacterial cultures, cytology, and in difficult cases, biopsies to determine underlying causes for your pet's skin ailment(s). We use diagnostic tests and microscopes to identify the sources. We can also use our Video Otoscope to peek into your pet's (dogs or cats) ears to see the extent of ear infection and wax build-up before prescribing the appropriate treatment. We offer flea and tick medication for treatment and prevention. Allergies may be caused by dietary choice or external agents in your pet's surroundings so we not only treat the symptoms but also try to find the source of allergy. We do extensive client education as part of our preventive care approach to pet health. Nails and anal glands may also be inspected for problems. Whatever the problem, we will determine the right mode of treatment for your pet's medical condition. We treat dogs, cats, rabbits, other small mammals, frogs, and reptiles).
